With reference to the letter from this

Department of the 31st August 1939 I am directed by

Mr. Secretary MacDonald to transmit to you a copy of a

despatch from the Governor of Hong Kong forwarding a

statement of arms and ammunition which passed through

the Colony in transit to China during the second half of

1939.

2. I am to ask that the returns in the despatch,

which are enclosed in original, may be forwarded to

feversed.

the Board of Trade after inspection with a request that

they may be returned eventually to the Colonial Office.
